About

Ango’s is the second café to be opened by Gordon Hickey who set up Container Coffee 8 years ago on Thomas Street.

Gordon has been on the lookout for a second location for a long time as sadly, one day Container Coffee will have to be removed from its site as they have plans to build on the area.

When the opportunity came up, Gordon needed a name for the cafe and was going to call it after his dog Cali but decided he better honour his late mother Angela first.

His mam was more affectionately known as Ango, hence the name, and the logo is an outline drawing of her. Ango was a fierce, strong, hard-working woman and was a true Dubliner. She would’ve fit into Herberton in Dublin 8 perfectly

Two poached eggs on Tartine Sourdough bread, with smashed avocado, crispy bacon and a drizzle of truffle mayo. Topping with a sprinkling of mixed seeds

Sausages, crispy bacon, fried egg, Ballymaloe relish, rocket & a drizzle of truffle mayonnaise served on a toasted Tartine organic brioche bun.
